Thought partnership for leaders and organizations rethinking identity, purpose, community, and change.
Leadership thought partnership, learning facilitation, and strategic support for individuals and organizations seeking clearer thinking, deeper alignment, and meaningful action.
Reclamation Advisors is an advisory and learning practice led by Dr. Brian C.B. Barnes. Through leadership thought partnership, learning facilitation, and strategic support, the practice helps individuals and organizations think clearly, lead with integrity, and build work aligned with purpose.
The work is rooted in a simple belief: meaningful transformation begins with clear thinking, honest reflection, and action aligned with purpose. Reclamation Advisors supports people and organizations as they examine inherited frames, clarify what they believe, navigate complex decisions, and discern how they are called to lead, build, release, or become.
Dr. Barnes works with Black leaders, educators, founders, ministers, creatives, and community-rooted professionals who are rethinking how they lead, what they are building, and how they relate to institutions, community, identity, and purpose. He also partners with organizations seeking deeper learning, stronger alignment, and more responsive ways of engaging the communities they serve.
With more than 25 years of experience across education systems, youth development, philanthropy, faith-based community work, and community-based initiatives, Dr. Barnes brings deep perspective to complex challenges while remaining grounded in lived realities and long-term transformation. His formation includes Morehouse College, doctoral study at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., teaching roles at Vanderbilt University and Harvard, published work in the Journal of Research Initiatives and Stanford Social Innovation Review, and selection as a Presidential Leadership Scholar.

Dr. Barnes’s advisory, facilitation, and leadership work has supported organizations, leaders, and initiatives across youth development, Black community leadership, philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, public education, and community-centered strategy.
